Ras Mohammed National Park – Sinai

Adult £25 / Child £20

Tour Everyday

Bus Tour to one of the most beautiful sites all over the world the first and the only national park in Egypt where there are more than 130 sorts of coral reefs and more than a 1000 species of fish. Ras Mohammed National Park occupies one of the world’s most extraordinary settings: a slender, dramatically arid peninsula at the very southernmost tip of the Sinai, rising to a dramatic promontory that looks out over some of the most gloriously rich coral reefs that you will ever see.  The Ras Mohammed peninsula marks the nexus of the shallow Gulf of Suez and the deep intercontinental chasm of the Gulf of Aqaba, itself a small portion of the Great Rift Valley that stretches deep into Africa. Declared a national park in 1983.  Visit the mangrove trees which grow directly from the salty water of the Red Sea.  It is the only sea in the northern part of the hemisphere where these trees grow.  Ras Mohammed is considered to be one of the best sites all over the world for snorkelling and diving.  You will also see, fossilized coral, saline lake and snorkel at one of the secluded beaches of Ras Mohammed.  Take with you on the tour: passport, water & snacks, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, mask, fins and snorkel.

The programme includes

Pick up & transfer by air-conditioned micro-bus, entrance fee to National Park & English-speaking guide.

Ras Mohammed National Park Red Sea

Adult £25 / Child £20

Tour Everyday

Snorkelling Trip to Ras Mohamed National Park by Boat. Sail toward one of the most beautiful sites all over the world, the first and the only national park in Egypt where there are more than 130 sorts of coral reefs and more than 1000 sorts of fishes. The boat will stop three times and you will get a chance to snorkel or swim in the famous beaches of the national park. Although not massive in size, Ras Mohammed contains an astounding variety of wildlife, including gazelles of the northern desert and brilliant orange coral reefs.  The boundaries of Ras Mohammed extend far out into the surrounding waters, and even the most casual of visitors is struck by how much of the park is dominated by the sea. Even the dry land area of the park seems a part of the marine world: in the north, large dunes are interspersed with outcroppings of Miocene limestone in which are embedded an astonishing wealth and variety of marine fossils.  In fact, the dramatic promontory that marks the Sinai’s southernmost tip belongs in part to the sea, as it is in fact an enormous, fossilized coral reef, left high and dry tens of thousands of years ago. For many visitors, Ras Mohammed’s most stunning scenery is found underwater, in the broad, terraced coral reefs that encircle the peninsula.  Fire corals and brilliant sea fans abound here, and among these lush reef corals roams a truly magnificent array of both reef and pelagic fish–over a thousand species in all.  On the yacht, you will have lunch and 3 stops for an hour each for snorkelling. Take with you passport, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, mask, fins and snorkel.

The programme includes

Pick up, transfer & drop off by air-conditioned micro-bus, entrance fee, Lunch and soft drinks on the boat. Qualified snorkelling guide.
